Modern Tiki art is a chic look for your home. The Tiki is an ancient symbol used by the New Zealand Maori. Commonly carved from greenstone and worn around the neck, a beautiful Tiki can both symbolize and increase the prestige if the wearer. Although Tiki are humanoid in form, their specific significance is not known. Theories include that Tiki are fertility symbol, or have a connection to the mythical Tiki, the first man created by the god Tane.
