This handcrafted wooden Maripu is a Maori replica short combat weapon. They were used by Maori warriors where quick in-fighting action required thrusting jabs. The Maripu were held by a thong of flax through a hole in the handle and around the wrist and thumb.
Supplied with a stand. Ideal for a trophy as a plaque can be added or the base engraved.
