The herbal extracts Mullein (Verbascum thapsus), White Horehound (Marrubium vulgare) and Thyme (Thymus vulgaris) are all traditionally recognized to have expectorant action. An expectorant is a substance that helps the natural mucous flow in the respiratory system. Traditionally honey has been used for the respiratory tract for helping manage winters ills and chills.
