Detoxification is important because of the many common pollutants and toxins our bodies are exposed to everyday. If the liver and digestive tract become overloaded, cells that line the intestinal wall can become damaged and more permeable. This can lead to the reabsorption of toxins and disrupt the delicate balance in the gut, causing constipation, bloating, excessive flatulence, irregular bowel movements and overgrowth of harmful bacteria. You may also feel tired all the time, irritable, nauseous and be prone to allergies and other immune disorders caused by an imbalance in the digestive tract.

THE FORMULA

Dietary Fibre
Psyllium Plantago ovata husks are a rich source of fibre and absorb water to form mucilage that adds bulk and draws toxins into the bowel, making it easier to pass.

Flaxseeds Linum usitatissimum are high in insoluble dietary fibre, which is essential to the health of the digestive tract and have a beneficial effect on hormonal balance.

Pre and Probiotics
Inulin contains fructo-oligosaccarides (FOS), a nutritive substance that helps restore the balance of beneficial bacteria in the digestive tract and prevent overgrowth of harmful bacteria, which can lead to bowel disturbances and food allergies.

Lactobacillus acidophilus
Acidophilus helps maintain the integrity in the gastrointestinal tract and improve immune function by controlling levels of unfriendly bacteria.

Protective Antioxidants
Grape seed Vitis vinifera. Grape seeds provide a concentrated source of oligomeric proanthocyanidins (OPC�s), which are powerful antioxidant compounds needed during detoxification to help protect the body against toxins and free radical damage.

The B-Complex vitamins including B6, Folic Acid and B12 are needed for energy metabolism and to support Phase 1 and 2 of liver detoxification. In addition, Vitamin C helps protect against free radical damage and assist detoxification.

Amino Acids For Gastrointestinal Repair
L-Glutamine is an important amino acid needed to fuel the cells of the gastrointestinal tract and help repair of damage caused to the intestinal lining by toxins. Many health problems have been linked to intestinal damage including chronic fatigue, food sensitivities, eczema and autoimmune problems. In addition, Taurine is needed by the liver to process toxins and can be depleted during overgrowth of Candida albicans.

For 14 Day cleanse: Take one serving (10g) mixed in with 200ml of water or juice, twice daily for 14 days.
