Bob Steiner, a well known artist and master of ceramics - which are mostly related to New Zealand plants and animals, presents this lovely compact sauce, oil and dips bowl. Bob envisaged this bowl with olive oil to represent pools of mud from geothermal ponds in Rotorua. The bowl has terraced edges inside which mimic the interior of rocky coastal pools and the ripples of mud pools in geothermal areas of New Zealand. The outer shape of the bowl is shaped from the Pipi - a common New Zealand shellfish. 

These are lovely decorative ceramic for the wall, cabinet or for the dinner table. They are useful as well as attractive to look at – get one of six colours or a whole set.
