With his skills in pottery making, Bob Steiner has morphed naturally into art and design with a tendency to attach nature or culture to his pieces.  This inspiration is due to Bob’s love of anything New Zealand/ Pacific and as such culminates into unique ceramic art which in most instance is useful and classy enough for collections or display.

The New Zealand environment is unqie due to it’s isolation from the rest of the landmasses and remains mostly intact due to low population densities.Being a local Aucklander, Bob has an array of stimuli to choose from when he needs ideas for design. This particular piece is a saucer available in six colours (earth-tones) and has the famous Pohutukawa tree embossed upon it. The Pohutukawa tree is also called the New Zealand Christmas tree owing to it’s vibrant red flowers during summer (New Zealand Christmas).
