Exotic native designs upon quality ceramic finish
This bowl is nicely designed by Bob using the famous ‘Tapa’ cloth (barkcloth) commonly found in the Pacific. Tapa is made of ground Breadfruit or Paper Mulberry with each village of it’s origin using specific patterns to decorate it’s surface. Bob Steiner is well known for creating works of art which are inspired by cuture, design concepts and the natural environment.
The lovely bowl is really an artistic piece of pottery - which Bob was known for before moving into art & design morphing ceramics. This eclectic mix of craft, art and design has made Steiner Ceramics famous around New Zealand and no doubt soon to be popular worldwide.
