A salve packed full of plant extracts, gently working to protect and support skin when prone to fungal eruptions or conditions.
The creamy base is a blend of beeswax and olive oil, infused with extracts of New Zealand natives and herbals. We harvest these plants from our extensive organic medicine garden, or from regenerating native bush here at Naturally by Trisha in Puhoi.
Fungal eruptions can often disfigure toenails and fingernails, as the fungus spreads underneath and lifts the nail from the nail-bed. For best results apply the salve over and under the toenails/fingernails as far as it will go, morning and night.
On the body the eruptions appear as white patches, more pronounced for those with darker skin. Young people, particularly teenagers and young women can become self-conscious of the patches.
Our native manuka is clinically known for its anti-fungal properties and maire and patete are tradtionally used by Maori for treating ringworm. Common garden thyme and rosemary have been verified to posses strong antifungal properties.
Horopito is traditionally known and used for candida externally and internally. When we express a fungal condition on the skin, we usually have a deeper underlying fungal condition in our system, often in the gut. To experience an optimum state of health and healing we need to address the totality to bring our whole being into balance.
